Expression

This course is specifically designed for TSLI's, TSLT's, RSLI's, RSLT's and Deaf Performers wanting to explore Caroline's approach to expressing emotion and developing theatre techniques which can be used alongside your interpreting.

Learn the skills used to express emotions, tension and energy within performance, tools that can be applied across interpreting music, theatre or everyday translation. Through guided tasks, participants will explore how movement, intention and character work enhance clarity and connection with the audience. This workshop is hands-on, reflective and designed to help interpreters bring greater authenticity and nuance to their work.

Trained at The Mime Centre and the Desmond Jones School of Mime, Caroline has continued to develop her craft throughout a four-decade acting career, working with a range of directors and attending workshops including those at Deafinitely Theatre HUB. She has since facilitated workshops in physical storytelling, sign songs, comedy and drama, sharing the expressive techniques and performance skills she has honed over the years.

If the course has not reached sufficient capacity by 70 days before the start date, it may be cancelled in accordance with venue terms.
